REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR STAY
Online: All reservations made online must pay a deposit at the time of booking. Standard cancellation policies apply unless otherwise stated in the online booking terms.
Bedding: Bedding is only supplied to the main bed in the Deluxe, Standard and Studio Ensuite Cabins. If bringing your own, you will need linen, blankets and towels. All bedding can be hired at an extra cost.
Allocation: Due to variations in reservations, specific room allocations/site allocation cannot be guaranteed.
Arrival/Departure Times: Check in is from 2:00pm onwards. Prior arrangements must be made for arrival after 6:00pm. On the day of departure, the unit/site must be vacated by 10:00am. Late checkout fees apply.
Deposits: In order to make a reservation, you will be required to leave a deposit. By leaving a deposit you agree to the terms and conditions of the Gum Tree Caravan Park. All deposits made by direct deposit or bank cheque must be received within 7 days at the time of booking, or the booking will automatically be cancelled.
Cancellations: All cancellations incur a $30 administration fee. Deposits will only be refunded if you notify the park of your cancellation at least 30 days before your scheduled arrival. Cancellations within 30 days will not be refunded the deposit. Reservations amended or altered before arrival, on arrival or during occupation will be charged for the whole stay originally booked. Non-arrivals or clients who fail to notify of a cancellation will be charged for the whole booking. All cancellations must be advised in writing. All refunds are credited back onto the credit card given at the time of booking. All online bookings will be refunded by cheque to the person’s name on the booking.
Children: The child rate applies to ages 2-17 years. Gum Tree Caravan Park reserves the right to request proof of age.
Damage/Loss: All registered guests shall be liable for any loss or damage to the appliances, furniture, keys, fixtures and all fittings on the accommodation (inside and out). Fair wear and tear excluded.
Deluxe Cabins & Holiday Unit: Deluxe Cabins 22 and 23 & Holiday Unit are strictly non-pet friendly. Any owners seen with pets or evidence of pets in these cabins will be charged a $200 cleaning fee and/or the booking be terminated immediately. No refunds given.
Vehicles: Only 1 vehicle is permitted per site/cabin. If there is more than 1 vehicle, it must be parked in the visitors’ car park or outside the park.
Folk Festival Bookings: All deposits are due at the time of booking. The remaining amount is due 30 days prior to the festival. Transferring of bookings is not accepted.
Final Payment: All monies are due and payable on check in.
Forms of Payment: Payments accepted by cash, Visa, MasterCard or eftpos.
Personal Belongings: Gum Tree Caravan Park takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal item. Remember to lock your vehicle and remove all valuables. Parking is at your own risk. Be sure to thoroughly check your accommodation before departure, as any items left behind may not be recovered.
Smoking Policy: All buildings at Gum Tree Caravan Park are non-smoking. By law, it is prohibited to smoke within 5 metres of any public buildings. Anyone caught will be charged a $200 cleaning fee.
Extra Guests: Any extra person staying on a site or in a cabin must check in and pay the extra person fee before proceeding into the park. The person who made the booking is responsible for any extra guests and payment. Therefore, the credit card supplied on booking will be charged the additional amount prior to check out if the extra guests do not check in and pay for their stay. Any extra guests that haven’t paid and registered are classed as trespassing and will be asked to leave on the spot.
Cabin Guests: All cabin bookings require a valid credit card number. This is only used for payment, cancellation fees or if any terms and conditions are breached. If you do not have a credit card, you will be required to leave a $200 cash bond on arrival, which will be refunded on departure only if no terms and conditions have been breached. Please note that leaving a cash bond may hold up your departure, as staff will be required to check the cabin before any refund is given.
Visitors: Visitors that are not paying guests must park their vehicle in the visitors’ car park and report to Reception before entering the park. All visitors must vacate the park by 10:00pm. If you wish them to stay the night on your site or in your cabin, they must pay the extra person rate before doing so.
Noise: Noise must not be a nuisance to other sites. All noise must cease by 10:00pm. Curfew on noise is strictly enforced.
Fires: Strictly banned in and around the entire park and back paddock. This includes: heat beads, rotisseries and all naked flame contraptions. Anybody having an open fire will have their booking terminated and will be asked to leave the park without a refund.
Fish Cleaning: No fish cleaning is permitted in the caravan park. A fish cleaning bench is available at the boat ramp. Fishing licenses are available at the Port Fairy Sports Store.
Speed Limit: Vehicles must not exceed walking pace within the park grounds. Please be aware of pedestrians and bike riders at all times.
Car Washing: Strictly NO car or boat washing permitted in the park. There is a car wash located at the service station in Port Fairy.
Behaviour: Any offensive, physical or verbal abuse or aggressive behaviour towards other guests or the Gum Tree Caravan Park team will not be tolerated. Your booking will be immediately terminated, and you will be asked to leave without a refund. The Gum Tree Caravan Park has ZERO tolerance for this behaviour.
